Health and Safety Technician
About the Company
Pyou, an international brand within the Lavoropiù Group, an Italian Human Resources company, is recruiting a Health and Safety Technician (PRL Technician) in Aldeamayor de San Martín for a multinational company in the industrial agri-food sector.
We are looking for a technical profile with experience in occupational risk prevention in production environments, preferably agricultural or livestock settings, capable of ensuring workers’ health and safety and compliance with current regulations. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and supervising preventive measures across the group’s different farms, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organisation and working closely with operational teams.
About the Job
Risk assessment
- Identify, analyse and assess the specific occupational risks of the activity (animal handling, agricultural machinery, chemical products, etc.).
- Regularly update risk assessments based on changes in facilities or processes.
Preventive planning
- Design and implement the Occupational Risk Prevention Plan.
- Propose corrective measures and monitor their implementation.
Training and information
- Deliver health and safety training to employees (PPE use, safe machinery operation, biological risks, etc.).
- Prepare and distribute safe work instructions.
Work conditions monitoring
- Carry out regular farm inspections (facilities, equipment, storage, hygiene).
- Supervise the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Accident and incident management
- Investigate workplace accidents and propose preventive measures.
- Maintain records and analyse accident rates.
Business coordination
- Coordinate activities with external companies (veterinarians, maintenance, transport, etc.).
- Control health and safety documentation for contractors.
Health surveillance
- Collaborate with the occupational health surveillance service.
- Monitor medical check-ups.
Regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with current legislation (Law 31/1995 and related regulations).
- Prepare internal and external audits.
About the Candidate
- Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Previous experience in similar roles, preferably in agricultural, livestock or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and their field application.
- Experience in risk assessment, training, and business coordination activities (CAE).
- Willingness to travel geographically; only one day of office work.
- Category B driving licence.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach and focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with operational teams.
- High organisational skills and ability to manage tasks in dynamic environments.
