Poultry Production Veterinarian
About the Company

For a long-established family group operating internationally in the agri-food sector, based in Aranda de Duero, we are looking for a Veterinarian who will be responsible for ensuring animal health, welfare, and compliance with current regulations on the assigned farms in Burgos and Palencia, working closely with the Production department and acting as the veterinary point of contact for authorities and official organizations.
About the Job
- Conduct regular farm visits to assess the health status of the animals.
- Detect clinical signs of diseases and coordinate the necessary diagnostic tests.
- Apply and supervise veterinary treatments and vaccination programs.
- Manage and monitor deworming protocols.
- Design, implement, and update biosecurity protocols tailored to each farm.
- Train and raise awareness among staff on good sanitary practices and safe handling.
- Monitor compliance with quarantines, animal entries, and internal movements.
- Prepare veterinary reports, treatment records, and track animal movements.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations on animal health, welfare, and traceability.
- Act as a liaison with veterinary authorities and inspection bodies.
- Analyze key zootechnical indicators (mortality, egg production, feed consumption, conversion rates, etc.) together with the Production department.
About the Candidate
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- Previous experience in field veterinary work and/or livestock production.
- Knowledge of health regulations, biosecurity, and animal welfare.
- Analytical skills, organization, and rigor in document management.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to travel within the assigned areas.
